The Khabele School 2010-2011 Supplies List
At Khabele we empower our students to maintain clear systems of organization. At the high school level students this involves a great deal of personal choice. High School students may generally decide whether to have an accordion file, multi-subject spiral notebook, three ring binder or other system to keep track of their papers. Teachers, likewise, may request materials specific to their subject areas. Most students will also need a paper or digital planner to keep track of due dates and meetings. In the case of a struggling student, his or her advisor might implement an organizational system to prevent mishap. At the middle school level, we take a more hands-on approach, using this time to teach different methods of organization and self-management tools. It is for these reasons that the middle school supplies list is more precise. The list below is the absolute minimum supplies necessary to be supplemented with other items at your discretion, for example: a backpack, computer sleeve, scissors, etc. In addition, we encourage families of all Khabele students to set up a workspace at home and have clear discussions around the topic of homework and communication around grades before school year begins.
